ShuleTop

School timetable generator — no teacher ever double-booked

Tell ShuleTop your classes, subjects, teachers and lessons per week. It checks that the timetable is possible, then builds one where no teacher, class or room is ever in two places at once — and scores how good it is.

Rules it never breaks

And the preferences that make a good timetable

Best and avoid times

Mark the periods that suit each subject best — Mathematics in the morning, games in the afternoon — and ShuleTop follows them where it can.

Double lessons

Set how many doubles each subject gets a week, for practicals and labs.

Combined subjects

Group electives across streams for Senior School pathways, each group with its own teacher and room.

Your own rules

Switch extra rules on or off and choose how strongly each one should count.

Drafts first, then publish

Every generated timetable starts as a draft with a quality score. Compare drafts, drag lessons around, and publish when you’re happy; until then teachers keep seeing the current timetable. Made a mistake? Restore an earlier version.

You can also make separate timetables for different levels — for example Grade 10 and Form 3 and 4 — and teachers shared between them are never booked twice.

Frequently asked questions

Can it handle Senior School subject combinations?

Yes. Learners from different streams who take different electives at the same time can be grouped into one combined block, each group with its own teacher and room, so labs and teachers never clash.

Can different levels have their own timetables?

Yes. You can make the Junior School timetable and the Senior School timetable separately. A teacher who already teaches a period in one level is kept free of the other level at that time, so nobody is booked twice.

Can we change the timetable by hand afterwards?

Yes. Drag lessons to move them; ShuleTop refuses any move that would put a teacher or a class in two places at once. Drafts let you try changes before teachers see them, and you can restore an older version.

Do all levels need the same lesson times?

Today, yes: all levels share the same lesson periods. You can still block different activities for different forms or days, such as games for one level on Wednesday afternoon.

Can teachers see their timetable?

Yes. Each teacher has “My Timetable” on their phone with what they teach now and next, and affected teachers get an SMS when the published timetable changes.
