CBE report forms, ready the moment marks are in
Teachers enter marks, ShuleTop works out the performance levels and points, writes the remarks, and prints a clean one-page report form for every learner — for CBE classes and for Form 3 and Form 4.
On the next page, tap “Create your school's account”. No card or payment needed to start.
What’s on every report form
- Each learning area’s mark with its performance level and points (EE1 to BE2), or KCSE grade for Form 3 and Form 4.
- Total marks, total points and mean points, and the learner’s position.
- Deviation from an earlier exam, so parents see progress, not just a number.
- The subject teacher for each learning area and a short descriptor of what the level means.
- A chart of the learner against the class in each subject.
- Class teacher’s and principal’s remarks, written automatically from performance.
- Your school logo and address, and optionally the fee balance.
From marks to printed report forms
- Teachers enter marks for their own subjects, on a phone or computer, or upload them from Excel.
- Grades are calculated for you using your grading scale — CBE levels for Grades, KCSE grades for Forms.
- The admin publishes the exam. Until then parents and learners can’t see anything.
- Print a whole class or a stream, one page per learner, or let parents view them on their own phones.
Built for the CBE transition years
Most secondary schools are running Grade 10 under CBE while Form 3 and Form 4 finish 8-4-4. ShuleTop handles both in the same school: Grade classes use the CBE levels and Form classes automatically use KCSE grades, each on the right report form. Exam types include CATs, mid-term and end-term exams, KPSEA and KJSEA practice exams, consolidated exams and year averages.

Other reports you get from the same marks
- Mark lists (broadsheets) and merit lists by stream or the whole class — see exam analysis.
- Printable score sheets for each class and subject.
- Transcripts and leaving certificates.
- Results by SMS to every parent — see SMS for schools.
Frequently asked questions
Which performance levels do the report forms use?
For CBE classes, the eight levels EE1, EE2, ME1, ME2, AE1, AE2, BE1 and BE2 with 8 down to 1 points. For Form 3 and Form 4, the KCSE grades A to E with 12 to 1 points. The admin can adjust the ranges. Read the CBE grading system explained.
Do teachers have to type a comment for every learner?
No. The class teacher’s and the principal’s remarks are written automatically from each learner’s performance, so a whole class of report forms is ready at once. If you prefer your own wording, see our report form comments guide.
Can parents see report forms on their phones?
Yes. Once the school publishes the results, parents can log in and see their child’s report form, and the school can also send results by SMS.
Can we print a whole class at once?
Yes. Print a whole class or one stream; each report form is fitted onto a single page, with your logo and address at the top. Save it as a PDF from the print window if you want a file.
Can the report form show the fee balance?
Yes, if you switch that option on. It is off by default.
