ShuleTop

Exam analysis in seconds, not a weekend of Excel

As soon as the last teacher enters marks, ShuleTop has the mark list, merit list and a full analysis of the exam ready — by class, stream, subject and gender — for CBE classes and for Form 3 and Form 4.

What the analysis shows

Mark lists and merit lists

Every learner’s marks, total, mean marks or mean points and position in the stream and overall, with deviation from an earlier exam.

Grade spread

How many learners reached each level — EE1 to BE2, or A to E — in each learning area and overall.

Streams and subjects

Each subject’s results stream by stream, so heads of department see exactly where to help.

Boys and girls

The same results split by gender, overall and per subject.

Top students

The best learners overall and a leaderboard for every subject.

Most improved

Compare with any earlier exam and see who moved up the most.

Marks go in once

Teachers enter marks for their own subjects on a phone or computer, or upload them from the Excel template. Subjects can be split into papers and combined automatically, so a two-paper subject is entered as two papers and analysed as one. Grades are worked out from your grading scale; nothing has to be calculated by hand.

Exams Kenyan schools actually run

Normal exams and CATs, consolidated exams that combine several papers or tests, KPSEA and KJSEA practice exams, and a year average. The same analysis works for all of them, and for both CBE and 8-4-4 classes in the same school.

Note for Grade 9: KNEC reports KJSEA results by performance level per subject and does not produce a total score or mean grade. ShuleTop’s analysis is for your school’s own internal exams. Read the CBE grading system explained.

Share results the right way

Results stay private until the admin publishes the exam. Then parents can see their child’s report form when they log in, and the school can send each parent their own child’s results by SMS — never in a group where other parents can see them.

Frequently asked questions

Does ShuleTop work as a CBE analyser?

Yes. For CBE classes it shows how many learners reached each performance level (EE1 to BE2) in every learning area, by stream and by gender, alongside means and points.

Can we rank learners?

Yes. Mark lists rank learners by mean marks or mean points, within each stream and across the class, and can require a minimum number of subjects before a learner is ranked.

Can I see which learners improved?

Yes. Choose an earlier exam to compare with, and ShuleTop shows each learner’s deviation and lists the most improved.

Can I export the analysis?

Yes. Mark lists, exam analysis, class lists and score sheets export to Excel.
